Project review
The Popina Laka HPP is in the chain of three plants, utilizing enormous potential of the Pirin range in Bulgaria.
The cascade’s total installed output exceeds 50 MW of pure peaking power. This is the largest hydropower plant out of a group of private hydropower plants in Bulgaria.
The scope of project included turbine modifications, generator rehabilitation, new protection and control system, and replacement of new substations and hydromechanical equipment.
Provided services
We analyzed the cascade operation in detail, designed a new optimized operation mode, developed full rehabilitation design, provided tendering and quality management documentation.
