Hydropol in Indonesia

Indonesia is considered to be one of the most interesting countries for small hydro power plants investment. Its goal is to gradually migrate from the dependence on fuel-based energy resources towards more sustainable energy generation mix. It is desired that hydro power plants will have play a significant part in this process.

We develop a portfolio of hydro power projects with high power generation potential and are currently working on 4 pilot projects in Java and Sulawesi called Cipandak, Tincep, Gumbasa and Bissappu, with total installed capacity of 17 000 kW. The construction is scheduled to start between 2019 and 2020.

There are also several other potential projects in the project pipeline located in West Java, North and West Sumatera, North and South Sulawesi, Bali, West and East Nusa Tenggara. Their estimated installed output is 47 500 kW.

Tincep project

Tincep is a fully permitted project in northern Sulawesi with power purchase agreement to be signed in 2019. The construction of this plant is expected at the beginning of 2020.

What makes this project exceptional is that it was awarded twice by the Czech Development Agency, a state organization under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic which is supporting development cooperation of the Czech Republic abroad. The support was obtained in 2018 and 2019 as part of the B2B grant program.
