Project review
The HPP Valkerice with 10 m head is located on the Ploucnice River, Czech Republic. The plantsuffered heavily from changes in local water conditions and was significantly obsolete.These issues combined with only one Francis turbine resulted in substantial decrease of production.
Provided services
HYDROPOL carried out a complex site survey, gathered all necessary data and provided complete feasibility study of the uprating and rehabilitation. The plant went through major technology switch to horizontal Kaplan S-turbine and complex refurbishment, which resulted in substantial generation increase.
